Who to contact
whytobe operates this website. For questions about this notice or requests concerning your information, email hi@whyto.be.
Information you provide
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, message and attachments. We use it to respond, discuss your enquiry and manage related communications. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is needed and we have agreed an appropriate way to share it.
The website has no contact form, account registration or online payment checkout. Contact links open your email application; sending a message is your choice.
Technical information and Cloudflare
The website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, device/browser information and security or diagnostic information to deliver and protect the website. Your browser may send language preferences in request headers. Cloudflare also provides email-address protection on the website.
Cloudflare’s handling of information is described in its privacy policy. Infrastructure processing is separate from the preference storage described below.
Language, theme and browser storage
The homepage language follows its English or Thai URL. The theme follows your saved preference or device setting; your choice is stored in localStorage as whytobe-theme. The homepage demo processes anonymous sample requests in your browser; it does not collect entered information or call an AI service. On older brief-enabled preview pages, switching language temporarily places your entered brief in this tab’s sessionStorage as whytobe-curiosity-handoff. It is consumed by the destination page and is valid for 60 seconds; unused data remains until replaced or the tab session ends. Inputs are not sent to us automatically. Email content is passed to your email app only when you choose the email link. Some older pages also use whytobe-language for language preference.
There is no fixed expiration for these localStorage entries. They remain until you clear website data or your browser removes them. You can switch themes or languages in the header, clear stored preferences in your browser, or block browser storage; the website then uses device defaults where available.
The current homepage and its sample demo do not load Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity. Cloudflare may add its own performance beacon when delivering the website; this technical processing is covered in the Cloudflare section above. On pages that offer the analytics notice, optional Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity scripts load only after you select Accept. Decline leaves these scripts unloaded. Cloudflare’s infrastructure may apply security-related mechanisms according to its configuration. Fonts are served from this website rather than requested from an external font service.
Optional analytics and session replay
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand page visits and interactions, and Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session replay of website usage. These providers may process page/visit information, browser and device information, approximate location and online identifiers. Clarity records interactions such as clicks and scrolling to reconstruct use of the page.
Our custom analytics events measure contact-email clicks, service-link clicks and language switches. A contact click does not show that an email was sent or received. We do not include your email message or a user/account identifier in these custom events. The initial GA4 page URL and referrer omit query strings and fragments. We disable Google Signals and advertising personalization in our tag configuration, and grant analytics storage while keeping advertising consent denied for both providers.
The website marks page text for Clarity masking and does not provide an email-entry form. Masking reduces the content captured in session replay; it is not a guarantee of anonymity. Avoid including personal or confidential information in URLs.
Analytics providers may set first-party cookies such as Google’s _ga and Microsoft Clarity’s _clck and _clsk. Provider cookie lifetimes and data retention depend on their product and project settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Microsoft’s Privacy Statement for provider processing, including international transfers.
We remember your Accept or Decline choice in localStorage under whytobe-analytics-consent for up to 180 days before asking again. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer. Withdrawing stops analytics on the reloaded page and removes the known first-party analytics cookies that this website can access; it does not automatically erase data already received by the providers. You may also clear website data in your browser or contact us about applicable data rights.
Purposes and service providers
We use enquiry information to communicate with you and evaluate or arrange requested work. Technical information supports website delivery, security and troubleshooting. Preference storage supports the language and theme choices you make. Optional analytics helps us improve the website when you opt in.
Website infrastructure and email-service providers may process information needed to provide those services. We do not use the website’s language or theme preferences for advertising. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or necessary to address security or legal claims.
Retention, security and international processing
We keep correspondence only as needed for the enquiry, related work and applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the purpose and the obligations involved. For details about your correspondence or a deletion request, contact us.
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their locations and safeguards depend on the service involved. We take reasonable care when handling information, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can choose what to include in an email and clear or block local browser storage. Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information, contact hi@whyto.be to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and consider legal requirements before responding.
If you believe your information has been handled improperly, you may also contact the relevant data-protection authority where applicable.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website or our practices change. The last-updated date identifies the version on this page. If we introduce new data collection or services, we will revise the notice as appropriate.
